Standing Committee
The affairs of the Diocese are managed by the Bishop of the Diocese and The Standing Committee, which is comprised of the elected members of the Diocesan Executive Council. In accordance with the Constitution and Canons of The Episcopal Church and The Episcopal Diocese of Upper South Carolina The Standing Committee's responsibilities are as follows:
- Act as the Standing Committee of the Diocese in accordance with the requirements of the Constitution and Canons of the Episcopal Church, the Constitution of this Diocese, and these Canons,
- Act as a Council of Advice to the Bishop, and
- Function as an interim legislative authority of Convention, performing such specific functions as are delegated to it by the Convention, the Constitution and the Canons, Such duties include administering the budget and financial resources of the Diocese as described within the Statement of Mission.
