EDUSC Hurricane Helene Disaster Response Resources

If one member suffers, all suffer together with it; if one member is honored, all rejoice together with it.

Helpful Supplies List

Spread Warmth! An Updated Supplies List
As of October 23, 2024
As we move into colder fall and winter months, the needs of our friends in the Episcopal Diocese of Western North Carolina are changing. We’re adopting more rural areas where help is yet to come or access to relief is more difficult. Our Diocese is currently caring for our friends in Spruce Pine, NC. We’re asking our convocations to organize drives of items which spread warmth. Look to your churches to find out how you can help collect and donate the following items:

COLD WEATHER ITEMS
• Small Generators • Space Heaters • Heavy-Duty Extension Cords • Children’s Coats • Children’s Socks • Men’s Boots • Men’s Socks (Wool or Wool-Blend) • Blankets

EVERYDAY ITEMS STILL IN DEMAND
• Batteries • Diapers • Baby Formula • Rice and Dried Beans • Toilet Paper

Battery-Powered Radios Needed

WNC is currently seeking battery-powered AM/FM radios for daily updates to people still without cellular data access and without power or television. These can be as simple as clock radios or bed side radios. If you have an old stereo or boom box laying around which takes batteries, this is a perfect option, too.
