Diocese of Upper South Carolina notified of successful canonical consent process

Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
We are delighted to advise you that the Diocese has received notification from Presiding Bishop and Primate Michael B. Curry that BIshop-elect Daniel P. Richards has received the required majority of consents to election and concentration from both the Standing Committees and the Bishops with jurisdiction in The Episcopal Church, as detailed in Canon III.11.3. The consents have been certified by the Rev. Canon Michael Barlowe, Registrar of the General Convention.
We look forward with great anticipation and excitement to Bishop-elect Richards’ consecration on February 26, 2022 at Trinity Cathedral.
