Brian McCarthy to hold benefit concert for Fresh Start ministry

Brian McCarthy, Organist and Choirmaster of St. Luke's Episcopal Church, Columbia, is presenting a concert to benefit St. Luke's Fresh Start Ministry from 5:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m., Sunday, March 22 at the church.
Brian holds a Master of Music degree from the New England Conservatory of Music in Boston, Massachusetts. He has long been active in sacred music, beginning with a childhood spent singing in various church choirs. While living in Hawaii, Brian served as Organ Scholar and Assistant Choirmaster at the Cathedral of St. Andrew in Honolulu, where he also sang in the Cathedral's Schola Cantorum, and served regularly as Officiant and Cantor for services of Evensong and Compline. He has served as guest organist in churches throughout several dioceses of the Episcopal Church, the Church of England, the Church of Ireland, and in Roman Catholic churches throughout the United States, Ireland, and Germany.
Brian also is an Officer in the United States Army, currently stationed at Fort Jackson, South Carolina, where he serves as the Commander for Echo Company, 120th Adjutant General Battalion.
The people of St.Luke's ask for a minimum donation of $5.00 to attend.
