A Vigil for National Life | Monday, November 4, 6:00 PM, Saint Thaddeus Aiken
As our nation conducts one of its most important and solemn duties choosing our elected leaders, the Church is called to keep vigil and prayer that those who are elected will take on the heavy mantle of leadership with a spirit of humility, honor, and justice. Join us on the eve of the election, Monday, November 4 at 6:00 PM at Saint Thaddeus Episcopal Church in Aiken, South Carolina for a Vigil for National Life, which will be a service of Evening Prayer and Eucharist, hosted by the Gravatt Convocation of the Episcopal Diocese of Upper South Carolina. We will welcome our Bishop, The Right Reverend Daniel P. Richards as our preacher and The Reverend Lathrop Mosley as our celebrant. During this service, we will pray for those offering themselves for election to public office, for our nation, for democracy, and we will also renew our baptismal vows in preparation to receive the Holy Eucharist. All are welcome and encouraged to attend!
