Position Purpose: The Office Manager manages the overall business operation of the Gravatt Camp and Conference Center, including purchasing, camp store, personnel record keeping, guest and camp registration, customer service, and financial records. The position involves considerable independent work as well as being an effective member of a team.
Essential Job Functions:
1. Manage purchasing, inventory control, camper and guest accounts, and record keeping.
2. Manage overall finances and inform executive director of income and expense status.
3. Manage incoming and outgoing mail.
4. Oversee the inventory, ordering, and purchase of business, program, and office supplies and arrange for the routine maintenance of business and office equipment.
5. Manage all customer service and communication functions with customers and vendors. Answer phones and e-mail communications related to camper and guest registrations and operational questions. Refer concerns as indicated.
6. Manage the record keeping of camper and camp staff information.
7. Work with the Hospitality Manager and Director of Buildings and Grounds to see that all guest needs are met.
8. Assist in promotion of the Gravatt Camp and Conference Center through Diocesan events and other venues.
9. Keep accurate fundraising records and assist in timely correspondence with donors.
10. St. Alban’s Episcopal Church is a congregation of 176 households in Lexington, South Carolina. The vestry recognizes that the congregation’s funds are limited, and that the parish has two important factors that will affect Youth Ministry:
- The congregation is growing,
- There is talent available in the congregation already to support this ministry.
With these factors in mind, St. Alban’s is formalizing the part time position of Youth Leader with the expectation that the position will become a full time Youth Minister in the future. Responsibilities and duties for the part time position are outlined as follows:
Job Description:
Objective: To incorporate youth ministry within the larger context of ministry to families with children in the parish, while recognizing that children and youth have needs for ministry specific to them, but not wishing to alienate them from the greater life of the church and their parents.
Focus: To assist families in living out their baptismal vows by helping young people grow in the knowledge and love of God, and by loving their neighbor as themselves. By providing such a ministry, we seek to further our parish mission and fulfill God’s vision for us as a worshiping and serving community comprised of all ages.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Conduct bi-weekly meetings with youth of middle and high school ages, helping them build community among themselves while also encouraging them in their spiritual growth and Christian discipleship.
