Diocesan service of healing for those affected by HIV/AIDS to be held at Still Hopes, November 19
"Healing,
Hoping, Loving, Living—A Service for All of Us Affected by
HIV/AIDS" will take place on Sunday, November 19, at 3:30
p.m., at the Chapel of the Holy Spirit on the campus of the
Still Hopes Episcopal Retirement Community in West Columbia.
Bishop Henderson will be the celebrant. Homilist is Still
Hopes chaplain, the Rev. David Stewart. Music will be
performed by the St. Cecilia's Choir from St. Bartholomew's,
N. Augusta. The service is sponsored jointly by Still Hopes
and Upper South Carolina's HIV/AIDS Committee.
Interested people are invited to come to a meeting of the
HIV/AIDS Committee prior to the service, at 2:00 p.m. in the
library of the Still Hopes mansion.
Did you know that the state of South Carolina is currently
10th in nation (per capita) in new AIDS cases?
Richland County is # 1 among SC's 46 counties in new HIV
cases, and Edgefield County is 7th.
