Does your
church use a wireless microphone?
If so, note that new rules by the Federal
Communications Commission now restrict the frequency
on which wireless microphones can operate. The
700 MHz Band became off-limits to wireless mics on
June 12, 2010. That band now is dedicated to
public safety agencies.

 Congregations in the Diocese of Upper South Carolina are invited to
apply for funding to support projects that focus on one or more of
the Millennium Development Goals,
eight international development goals that all 192 United Nations
member states have agreed to achieve by the year 2015.
Our diocese
has indicated its commitment to the goals in
resolutions adopted by
two successive Diocesan Conventions.
Funding for the diocesan grants will come from a portion of the 0.7% set aside by the
Diocese in the Statement of Mission (SOM).
The diocesan Commission on the Anglican Communion and International
Concerns, charged with oversight of the grant process, encourages
proposals inspiring the participation of congregations in the
diocese in long-term projects that can ultimately be sustained by
the community served. Particularly encouraged are projects that
serve to nurture and promote self-sufficiency.
The deadline for submission of applications is
July 1. Submissions should be addressed to:
