Say goodbye to minimally adequate education in South Carolina

Support the constitutional amendment for high quality education for the children of our state. Now South Carolinians can take action on behalf of our state public school system. By signing the petition at www.GoodbyeMinimallyAdequate.com, you can join other South Carolinians in support of inserting “a high quality education, allowing each student to reach his highest potential” into our state constitution.  This new language will replace South Carolina’s current state standard of “a minimally adequate education.”

Get on the bus and help us reach our goal of 1,000,000 signatures.  Here are a few ways you can help:

  1. Have your entire family sign the petition.  Children school aged and above are encouraged to be a part of the petition drive!

  2. Send an email to contacts in your address book asking them to sign the petition at www.GoodbyeMinimallyAdequate.com.

  3. Post a bulletin or blog in support of the petition drive.

  4. Add a link to www.GoodbyeMinimallyAdequate.com on your personal or organizational Web site.  Please contact us if you need a graphic for this.

  5. Make a tax deductible contribution to the campaign.  See the link on the site’s home page.

  6. Download copies of the paper petition, and get others to sign in person.  Mail or fax completed petitions to us.

Legislation to change the state constitution must be passed by a 2/3rds vote of the Senate and House of Representatives in order to put the amendment on the general election ballot for public vote in November, 2010. Join us today!
