Throughout the year, various events are offered for young people in grades 6-12. Diocesan events are held in various locations and are open to all Episcopal youth and their friends.  Each of these events, while focused on a specific age group and theme or program, is designed to deepen the spiritual development and the leadership skills of the participants. 

The Diocesan Youth Leadership Committee currently designs and implements four youth events, which happen throughout the school year.  Representatives from DYLC and others make up the Happening Committee, which is responsible for the organization and staffing of leadership for two Happening Weekends each year.  Priests and Deacons of the Diocese serve as Spiritual Directors and Chaplains for each weekend.

 

All events in the Diocese are governed by a set of policies and guidelines and a community covenant. These have been established by the DYLC and are reviewed each year and amended as needed. 

 

Information about each event - theme and content - is usually posted approximately two months before the scheduled event. A final event schedule is posted within two weeks of the event.  Please look for more detailed information about a particular event by clicking the menu items above.
