Commissions

In 2006 Diocesan Executive Council (DEC) adopted a new six-comission diocesan structure designed to maximize mission effectiveness and emphasize grass-roots involvement.

The six commissions—Commission on Ministry; on Congregations; on Convocations; on the Diocese; on The Episcopal Church and National Concerns; and Commission on The Anglican Communion and International Concerns—are policy-making groups chaired, for the most part, by members of DEC and populated by individuals from throughout the diocese. Bishop Waldo chairs the Commission on the Anglican Communion and International Concerns.
