Greetings from All Saints’ Episcopal Church in Cayce.

Our church is hosting an exciting concert, and we invite you and your youth to be a part of it. Mitch McVicker will be performing at All Saints’ on May 21, 2006 at 6pm.

I first heard Mitch sing last year at a Lutheran church in West Columbia. I was so blessed and impressed with the creative music, percussion, and the understandable lyrics. Several months later I e-mailed Mitch about the possibility of coming to Cayce.

The name Mitch McVicker may not be familiar. However, you may recognize the name Rich Mullins, another Christian singer. Mitch first began touring with Rich Mullins in the fall of 1995. Two years after beginning that tour, Mitch and Rich were driving to Wichita for a concert. They had just left Chicago where they were putting the finishing touches on Mitch’s first solo album. The accident that took the life of Rich in September, 1997, marked the end of a relationship that Mitch cherished, and the beginning of a long road of recovery for Mitch, who sustained massive head injuries, as well as other injuries. After weeks in intensive care, Mitch went home to Kansas to live with his parents, and continue his recovery and therapy at a special hospital. In June, 1998, the Mitch McVicker Official Web Page was launched. Mitch made great progress in the first year after the accident. After touring as a duo with Brad Layher, Cobra Joe joined them to make it a trio in June, 2000.

For more on Mitch, you may visit his web-site at www.MitchMcVicker.com.

Now, almost nine years after the accident, Mitch has over 30 concert dates already on his 2006 calendar. The youth group at All Saints’ is very excited to be hosting one of these concerts. We are also very happy to invite your youth to attend this Christian concert. We hope to have all of the Episcopal churches in the Midland’s Convocation participate.

Please reserve seating for your youth, and adult leaders by e-mailing Judy Priester at jpriester53@aol.com or calling 803-238-6404 no later than April 22nd.

WE LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING YOUR YOUTH GROUP MAY 21st.

There is absolutely NO charge or admission to this concert. If you would like to make a donation, your church’s name will be included as a concert sponsor. Please mail your donation to All Saints’ Episcopal Church, 1001 12th Street, Cayce, S.C., 29033, to the attention of Judy Priester.

Thanks for your support and we look forward to hearing from you.
