Cursillo Servant CommunityThr Servant Community is the working arm of Council, which is the decision/policy making body. The following information from the Servant Community booklet (included in the NEC Library) clarifies the purpose and workings of this element of the Fourth Day. It is a Christian Community in action where leaders are formed into an effective apostolic team by studying together, working together, praying together and by supporting each other in their work in the movement. A “Cursillo leader” is a Christian leader who feels called to make the Cursillo Movement his/her primary apostolate. They are one who has chosen to work inside the movement and have committed their selves to being a community of service to the Movement…. These are individuals who are capable of seeing the entire picture of the movement and are filled with a “holy awe” of the vision of Christian conversion that can be accomplished by the Cursillo Movement. The purpose of a diocesan movement is to implement the Cursillo method. The Servant Community does the work through committees.
